Charles Spurgeon once said that
"A bible that's falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn't."
A little over a month ago my granmom passed away and not too long after that I was blessed with getting her study bible. And to say it is falling apart would be an understatement. It is such a joy to read through her bible and know that she cherished this bible just as much as I do.
To see her notes and know that she once read the exact same pages I am on almost overwhelms me with emotions some days. My relationship with my granmom was something that I cherished when she was here on Earth. Now that she is gone I get to experience and appreciate our relationship in a different way. This time it is through her notes and markings in her falling apart bible, and with our Lord and Savior.
