Rehearsal Dinner

In case you missed it, my big brother and best friend got married a few weeks ago.  It was a beautiful weekend and such a sweet time for our family!
My mom, dad and I put together the rehearsal dinner and it was so much fun! We had a good friend of ours bring his smoker and we had the best brisket and sausage. He also brought potato salad and beans, to say the food was a crowd pleaser would be an understatement.

Mom made chocolate chip cookies and rice crispies drizzled with chocolate(gluten free for the sister-in-love),  and also picked up some great pies from Sam's. One of my favorite things that we did was a candy bar. My brother love, love, loves candy so it was only fitting.
For the table tops my mom and I got a great teal table cloth and we loved the pop of color it gave to the tabletops. We lined the tables with different size Mason jars, tied a string around them and filled them with colorful spring flowers.

My biggest contribution to the decor was all of the handmade posters and signs throughout the hangar. At the beginning of the year I started collecting different love sayings and quotes on a Pinterest board and wrote them on boards for the dinner. I loved how they turned out and the little extra touch they gave to the large room.
We had a lovely evening and it was great to get to spend time with all of our family and friends before the big day.  Above is a bar that my dad and brother build for the wedding.  They are oh so handy to have around!

My favorite part of the dinner was catching up with old family and friends that I had not seen in a while and all of the anticipation for the next day!  I loved soaking up time with my brother and seeing him so happy!

Stay tuned later in the week for my recap of the big day!!
