Getting to Know You

Today I am linking up with the Texas Women Bloggers so we can all get to know each other a little better, and hopefully you all can get to know me a little better too!  I always enjoy these kind of posts, because I get to share with you things you may not already know, or just remind your of who I am and what I am doing here in the blogging world!

There are several questions outlined for the link up, so let's dive in and see if we can learn a few things about each other.

1. What part of Texas do you call home?
North Texas.  The land of the prairies and lakes.
2. How long have you been blogging?
Since November of 2011.  I honestly thought it had been longer, but I'm just going on two years!

3. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging while at my first job out of college and it was my way of sharing what was going on post-college and the memories I was making after moving back home.  Now it has evolved into more than I could ever imagine and I am still trying to define this blog of mine.  Opposed to a Life and Style blog, I like to think of it as a Journey and Design blog.

4. When we visit your blog, what can we expect to discover?
Probably a little bit about everything.  Lately my heart for blogging has been some what focused on singleness and my family and faith.

5. How did you come up with your Blog Title and what is its meaning?
I came across the quote "Life isn't about the destination, it's about enjoying the journey", and things just developed from there.  When I first started my blog I was attempting to figure out what the Lord's plans were for my life and I quickly realized that this life is a journey.

6. What do you love about being part of Texas Women Bloggers?
The community.  I have gotten to meet some amazing women and am so happy to be able to share my obsession with Texas with a bunch of other blogging ladies!

7. Who inspires you to blog?
As I said earlier my blog has lately been some what focused on singleness and my family and faith.  Other singles inspire me, because not only do we all need encouragement sometimes, but we also need to know that we are not the only ones out there going through these things.  My family and faith are also a huge inspiration for me.  I love to document them both on here and share them with all of my amazing readers, because I feel that in order to get to know me better you must know both my family and about my faith.

8. If you could pick a favorite blog post from this past year, what would it be?
This is a hard one... just ONE?
My favorite series of posts were from my brother's wedding.  I shared with all of my readers about the Rehearsal Dinner, My Brother's Wedding Prep, The Wedding Day, and My Dresses.

My favorite post would have to be Living the Journey: Beautiful.  The response to that post was amazing and really helped me to start blogging more honestly and openly.

Hope you learned something about me that you didn't already know.  Now it's your turn to share.  Choose one of the above questions and answer it for all of us to read in the comments!!

I love the theme or your blog. I was single for a long time before I found my husband so I can still vividly remember those days. It is empowering and slightly scarry at the same time. Can't wait to see where you take this..
