Master Bedroom Reveal
When I first stepped into this house before all the renovations started there was old paint on the walls, gross carpet on the floors and overall it was in need of some tender love and care.
After the renovations of new wood floors, baseboards, and paint were completed I was thrilled to move in. I have always loved this bed and was thrilled to pull it out of storage where it had been for two and a half years since I had moved home from college.
I could tell you that this is where the magic happens, but let's get real... the only thing that happens here is me sleeping around. "The best thing about being single is sleeping around. You can sleep all over that bed of yours. Left, right, middle, wherever."
Bed: Headboard- made by my dad and I when I was in college. Quilt- had too long to tell
Bed side table and lamp: Ikea
Dresser: Made by my great- grandfather
Chair: My great- grandmother's
Artwork: Interior design project in college
Rug: My great- grandmother's
Now this room is where the magic happens. When you have this much hair that needs taming every morning there is a lot that goes on. I love how this room came together. It may be small, but it is efficient and more than enough for me.
The necklace hanger is a gift from my brother and sister-in-law and the soap dish(plate) and perfume stand(cake stand) are both from World Market.
Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more room reveals and updates on my house. I am quickly learning that owning a house always means that there are projects to be done and it is always a work in progress. As always, keep up with my house renovations with my hashtag #1972neverlookedsogood!
